Opening Ceremonies

I love the Olympics, but is it just me or do opening ceremonies always have a vague totalitarian feel to them?

    Moreso than a Busby Berkeley dance routine? Is it the precision drill, or just the scale that freaks you out?

    After seeing footage of the Dear Leader's 'mass games' it's easy to get that totalitarian vibe.
