Actually, Anthony, over the last two years we've seen that mold kinda broken.
1) 2006 - Enough Republicans decide it's better to either not vote or vote for a Democrat than to re-elect a corrupt, spendthrift, incompetent and unreliable Republican Congress.
2) Under the assumption that the Clinton "ran" the Democratic Party... (*SMILE*) (See: Obama, Barak H.)
(*SHRUG*)
