Election Coverage

I have been watching the coverage on CNN and ABC. George Will is on ABC but most of the people they have on the panels are political types.

I wish we could have coverage like the Vidal -- Buckley battles in 1968.

I tuned the election out all day yesterday.

Watched "Decision at Sundown," a great 1957 Western starring Randolph Scott which aired on Turner Movie Classics last night. (*WINK*)

When it was over at 9:20 p.m. or so I shut the TV off and went to sleep - no radio - woke up this morning, got out of bed around 5:25 a.m., found out Obama had won...

Staying positive! Looking at the bright side. (*WINK*)

That would not have worked for me. I live in deep blue yuppie land and they were out in teh streets, celebrating the election of one of their own. They were actually setting off fireworks and what sounding like kicking cats off their roofs.

Funny, I do not remember my parents doing the same when Reagan beat Carter. In fact, I remember watching the returns with my parents. When it was clear that it was a big win (and that Al D'Amato had won the NY Senate seat, they called it an early night, saying they had work and I had school the next day.
